Are they referring to "knowledge" in the Biblical sense? I'm pretty convinced they are, because the only references I could find to "hebdomads" are St. Thomas Aquinas' "An Exposition of the On The Hebdomads of Boethius." Apparently, "hebdomads" is an archaic word for days (or weeks), so the translation software must have translated "only a few short days" into "precisely a several abbreviated hebdomads!"
